♥ mme come away with me pad ♥

i am so sorry for my delay in blog posting, i had come down with the flu and it was everything i could do to keep up with kiddos, work and creating for my teams.  i am so happy to be feeling back to myself again and will be better about posting here too.

i wanted to share a couple of cards created recently, especially since "fall" is my favorite time of year with the leaves changing color, cooler weather and beautiful afternoons.

the first is a card i created for my MME fall cards post

the first card reminds me of leaves falling from the trees in gorgeous shades of reds and yellows.  I didn't want the "tree" to overshadow the focus on the leaves, so i stitched a trunk.
hello fall card

i used the new MME Six by Six 2 Come Away with Me pad to create both cards today

The "hello" sentiment from the "Hello" Stamps from The Sweetest Thing collection fit perfectly around the tree trunk.  With the ease of the acrylic stamps, you can "curve" your sentiment to fit almost any location you create for them.

in my next card, hello fall, i wanted to create the feeling that you were looking at leaves through your window, so i created a couple of clear windows using a clear envelope i had.

hello fall card ♥

the cellophane covered circles make you feel like you are looking through windows, and it is so much fun to see the leaves "fall" through the window.

and using the same pad, i decided to make a couple more fun cards while i was playing with these rich, autumn colors.

hello adventure card

hello card

as you can see, while this is a "travel-themed" pad from the Six by Six 2 collection, you can create fall, hello or any occasion cards with these gorgeous colors and patterns.  I can't wait to see what you create with your new pad.

thank you so much for ALL your amazing comments, every single one, means so much to me and i could never thank you enough for visiting me and your friendship!

hugs & so much love!

♥ scraptastic CARD tutorial ♥

good morning!  how are you?  i am popping in today to share a card tutorial i posted today over at Scraptastic Kit Club.  i created my card today using the OCTOBER Hall Pass kit.  i loved the circle paper in the kit and wanted a fun way to use those fun elements, so i created layered flowers with them.

here is the card i created today

♥ MME stampy love ♥

good morning!  how was your weekend?  did you enjoy all things card making?  what a fun, and wonderful holiday.  i can't wait to get started checking out all the amazing creations this week.

i am up on the MME blog with the new OCTOBER CHALLENGE.

this month's challenge: is to incorporate stamping into your project. It can be a layout, a card, a mini album, an altered piece...the sky is the limit.

i chose to use the MME The Sweetest Thing Stamps on the cards i created for this challenge.   These stamps are some of my favorites ever.  I love how crisp the images are and how beautiful the images and sentiments work together.  while stamps can seem intimidating at first, if you start with a background or block of card stock, it can make the process so much fun and rewarding.

i created a little stamping tutorial to go along with the challenge today.  i am going to share with you a step by step process for creating a card using the hexagon stamp in the The Sweetest Thing Happiness Stamps

Here is the card I created

you are so wonderful card

step 1:  stamp hexagons onto white card stock

I also created another card using the gorgeous doily stamps in the MME The Sweetest Thing Cutie Pie set.

Finishing the card is made easy with the gorgeous chipboard and paper flags and brads.

I love to stamp a background and MME makes that so easy with gorgeous stamps and gorgeous chipboard to layer on top of the stamped background.

cards supplies:  MME The Sweetest Thing "Cutie Pie and Happiness" stamp sets,  "Honey" simply lovely decorative brads and "perfect" chipboard elements, "Love" enamel dots, Tangerine chipboard pieces and decorative tape

♥ world card making day ♥

good morning
and
happy

i love this holiday, love to visit all the blogs for the amazing inspiration and love to SEND OUT the cards.  it's so much fun and every year i LOVE to try to find time to participate.  this year, i decided to share cards created with the new October Afternoon Witch Hazel line and some Jillibean Soup.

hallowe'en night card

i absolutely LOVE the halloween washi tapes, they are so much fun.

trick or treats card

the chipboard, journal tidbits and tin pins in this line make me so happy, love them so much!

admit one card

(while i created my card right after receiving product from OA for a co-workers birthday, i recently saw a card by THE Roree Rumph, that used the balloon bouquet/stars for the focal,  for a recent blog hop for OA.  i wanted to share it with you because i almost didn't post my card because of our mutual use of the balloons/stars, but then thought it inevitable to pair the two together when you look at the chipboard sheet and maybe you, too, will use balloons and the stars together and you would just have both cards to inspire you.  i love how she added brads, so that's another idea for the balloons.  i also love how she used the mini market stickers, they are so awesome.  so please check out her amazing card too for more inspo.  i had to giggle too, this isn't the first time we have done this.  we both received the Witch Hazel line for summer CHA and used the "sticker witch" in almost identical ways without seeing each other's card until dt reveal :))

stitching chipboard can be tricky, as you may have tried.  my best suggestion is to adhere your chipboard to the paper, then using your knob, hand-crank each stitch.  do not use your foot pedal.

i loooove these cute chipboard tickets, they make me happy, happy♥

♥ OA Witch Hazel Blog Hop ♥

good morning!  welcome to the OA Witch Hazel Blog Hop.  i am so, so excited about this incredible Halloween line, OA's first Halloween line, and it's in stores now!  You will love this line so much and not only is it spooky, it's cute, it's versatile, and it's OA!!!

AND!  up for grabs today on my blog is a set of Witch Hazel Tin Pins.
i love these tin pins so, so much, they are so much fun to add the perfect little embellishment to your pages, cards and projects.

i chose to create "treat bags" for my hubby's staff for the upcoming holiday.  i am slowly getting these created so hopefully i won't be rushing at the end of the month.  i love that this line is fun, i do not like "scary" halloween stuff, we are more of a themed/cutesy halloween family.  the boys like everything batman (especially Dark Knight) and my daughter likes cutesy costumes......whew, thank goodness.

(i also shared a tutorial and additional Halloween goodie bags in THIS post)

i LOVE the new washi Halloween tapes, these are sooooo fun and there's so much you can do with them.

 memories enclosed treat bag

she is such a thoughtful-looking witch, so the title "memories enclosed" was perfect for her date to the cemetary.
